How many mbps does a xbox 360 use during gaming?

I recently bought an xbox 360 and have been using it online but found that when I’m in an online game while my girlfriend is using the internet its very slow for her. I currently have Time Warner Cable 15 Down/ 2 Up and its really slow when I start using the 360 for online gaming. Any thoughts?
It depends and i couldn’t say but obviously video games use WAY more data than browsing the web. Remember in the past online wasn’t possible on game systems in the days of aol . Not until broadband came along was things like xbox live possible . Xbox live actually is what made people quit using phone cords for internet
Xbox live recommends at least 2 Mbps for online play. The games themselves don’t use that much bandwidth, but the voice chat does and on xbox live voice chat is always on. Microsoft has updated the codec and I think voice-chat uses more bandwidth now than it did before.
Downloading demo’s will draw a lot of bandwidth and this will definitely slow down your connection!
