How much does an xbox 360 cost and where would i find one in wisconsin?
i want to buy an xbox 360 console but i have no idea how much they cost or where to find one. I’d like to buy the cheapest one but i still want it to work perfect. (a used one would be fine.)

Depends on where you get it…but really. Walmart? Target? Ebay? They are everywhere. Try and electronics specialty store like Best Buy if you have one.

There are different types or levels of Xbox 360 systems, the best and most expensive has just recently been released and it is called the Xbox 360 250GB S. It costs $299 MSRP. The S means slim and it is part of a new marketing tactic by Microsoft to sell their systems where they market the systems based on how many GB of storage they have (just like Sony has always marketed the PS3). This storage is internal, unlike the other Xbox 3060s that has an external (and cumbersome) hard drive. Both types of hard drives are removable.
This new Xbox has built in Wi-Fi, to connect to the internet for gaming without having to use and ethernet cable or wireless adapter (approx. $70), it also has 2 build in USB ports on the front for easy connectivity of any USB device, you can use them to connect a play and charge kit to charge the controllers that normally take batteries (the play and charge kit with a controller is about $65) or you can charge a phone or my favorite, plug in a flash drive and listen to music stored on it while you play games. and the system is in shiny black finish! I would recommend buying this one but there are other more cost effective systems and even bundles with games and controllers included.
There is the 360 Elite which has a 250 GB high definition hard drive attached to the outside. There is a bundle at Best Buy with 2 games and a controller for $250. This system also comes in a bundle with splinter cell, 2 controllers, a headset and an ethernet cable for $349. if you want to play online, you will either have to buy a wireless router and a wireless xbox 360 adapter or buy an ethernet cable that runs through your entire house to connect to the back of your desktop computer. if you plan to go online for gameplay or even download extra content for some games, i would suggest the system mentioned above.
There is an Xbox 360 Pro system which includes a 60GB hard drive that is removable and upgradable with a larger hard drive that is sold separately for around $100(Walmart, Best Buy)
There are 2 other types called the Core system and the Arcade system with smaller hard drives that are again, upgradable. The core is not manufactured anymore and the Arcade system is hard to find new. Gamestop has used systems(Gamestop.com) Best Buy has them as well. Gamestop is one of the leading game stores in the US as games are all they deal in. They buy, sell, and trade games. you can also preorder games that are coming out later from Gamestop and they are the most knowledgable on the gaming world.
Overall with games, controllers, and system depending on which you choose to get, you will be spending anywhere from $200-$350 on an Xbox 360. Normal consoles lifespan is 5 years, this generation of consoles (Xbox 360, PS3 & Wii) is slated to go about 10 years (5 more years). so this is a worthy investment as it will be current for awhile and useful for even longer. Also, Microsoft had a problem with their old systems called “The Red Ring of Death”. if your console has this defect, it will flash a red ring and then stop tuning on or being responsive at all. Microsoft fixed this problem with the newer systems so I would not suggest you buy a used Xbox at all, but that is your choice.

the huge answer, info is kinda out dated, if ur lucky, walmart and other stores that sell xbox, will stop selling the arcade and the elite versions once microsoft runs out of those versions, cuz they stopped making them when the new 360 slim cam out last month. but the cheapest xbox is the arcade. $149 plus tax. here in texas, taxes added about $15 to it. dont buy used, cuz probably someone temporarily fixed it and itll probably break down soon.
