How to hook up an Xbox 360 to a windows media center?

Everytime I try to hook my xbox 360 to windows media center it can’t find the extender? I downloaded zune but I’m confused can somebody help step by step plz?

   First of all uninstall Zune as this may be interfering and it’s not needed yet.

   First thing to do is establish a connection.
   On Xbox go to windows media center and it’ll ask you to right down a number.

   On PC shut down all Anti-virus and Firewall.
   If you have Vista open windows media center.
   Go to Tasks > Settings > Extender and add Xbox from there

   Also … you sure youre not getting mixed up with windows media center and windows media PLAYER?
