If I bought an xbox 360 now,would the chances of it having the 3 red rings of death still be high?
I bought an xbox 360 back in 2005,and eventually it had the 3 red rings of death.All of my friends who bought one in 2005 got it to unfortunately.

no they fixed most of the problems…MOST of them…
A lot of their problems have been fixed, but the arcade’s still malfunction sometimes. The pros malfunction a little. The elites barely malfunction at all. Probably none at all. (that’s why it’s expensive; that and the more hardware.)
well i would say it would be better now then then, but now they fix it for free under a free warranty now. i got one for xmas in 07 and mine get it also but i would think that they have fixed it. mine was an elite btw and it still got it, there only more expencive because of the extra cables and 120gb hard drive which has nothing to do with red ring at all
The newer xbox 360s supposedly don’t have the same problem.
Mine broke 3 times and I finally bought a new one, havent seen any problems since!

nope microsoft have switched some of the components inside the box so overheating no longer effects the console. if your going to buy one ask the store clerk if it has a jasper chipset.
The chances of getting one has been decreased by a lot ever since the old xbox 360. I would recommend getting the Xbox 360 Premium package or higher like the Xbox 360 Elite because the lowest rank in the Xbox generation currently out on the market is the Xbox 360 Arcade which has system failures here and there but the Premium and above rarely gets the “red ring of death” because most, I repeat: MOST, of the problems have been fixed.
Get the Xbox 360 Premium. Why?:
-Comes with a Hard Drive
-Comes with 20/60 Gigabytes
-Comes with Ethernet Cable
-Comes with Headset
-Is considered cheap!
